This amusement park is set up nicely. There are plenty of places to eat all over. They even have a water park. A few of the guys opted to stay in the water park most of the day. Some gathered in the Mexican restaurant to watch the World Cup game - USA vs Belgium.
Our group wore bright orange WFS Sports Camp t-shirts. They could be spotted all over the park. Centrally located in the park, is a replica of the Eiffel Tower. From the top you can look down and see groups of orange all over.
One of the most popular rides is the Drop Tower. This thing takes you up only to drop you down quickly and then stop mid-air. The look on some of their faces was priceless. Other favorites include: Volcano, Anaconda, Intimidator, and Hurler. Additionally, some of the boys won prizes at the basketball shoot, football throw and other games.
Our final field trip was a success. The gang arrived back on campus just prior to 8 pm. They showered and held their values meeting and then were off to bed. I noticed Griffin dorm was quiet last night. I guess that means "we wore them out"!
Today and tomorrow are the last day's of 'Tournament' competition. By tomorrow evening all of the champions will be determined. Friday, as you know, is the 4th of July. We will celebrate the holiday by holding individual competitions where teams gain points by success in different activities. We'll end up at the pool for a cookout and the final competition - Team TUG O' WAR! We will conclude our day at the final campfire Friday night.
I'll post more photos of King's Dominion as they make it to me. But check out the YouTube videos. You can find the link to the left of this post.
